Privacy
There are no accounts, no adverts and no tracking scripts on this site. Most of this page is about the people who are listed, not the people who browse.

If you are just browsing
You do not need an account and we do not ask you for anything. We set no advertising or analytics cookies, and the site carries no third-party tracking scripts. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses, as any web server does, and we use those only to keep the site running and secure.
We do count page views, on our own servers, so that we can tell which parts of the directory are useful. For each page opened we record the address of the page, the time, the website you followed a link from if there was one, the country the request came from, and whether it came from a phone, a tablet or a computer. We do not use cookies to do it, we do not store your IP address, and there is no identifier of any kind that would let us recognise you, link one page to the next, or tell two people apart. Nothing is sent to anyone else. Most of what this counts is search engines and other automated crawlers, and we count those separately so we can see whether the directory is being indexed.
Two things on the page are loaded from elsewhere and will see your IP address as a result: typefaces from Google Fonts, and listing photographs and logos, which are served from Cloudinary and from the Tourpreneur and TripSchool community platforms. Where a listing embeds an intro video, that video is loaded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode and only when the page is opened.
If you are listed here
Operator and guide listings are built from the profile you filled in as a member of the Tourpreneur or TripSchool community. What appears is business information: your business name and description, where you operate, the kinds of tours you run, your website and public social links, your photograph or logo, and your name and role. When you change your profile, the listing changes with it.
Your email address is not published unless you put it in the field that specifically asks whether you want it shown on the directory. Nothing else you give the community — private notes, revenue figures, anything marked anonymous — is published here.
For technology and service companies, listings are compiled by us from public sources: the company’s own website and public material.
Where descriptions come from
Most descriptions are written by the business. Where one was missing, we have sometimes written a short factual description from the company’s public website so the listing was not blank. Anything you write yourself replaces it.
Removing your listing
There is a setting on your profile that hides your business from the public directory, and it takes effect without anyone having to approve it. You can also email hello@tourpreneur.com and ask us to remove it, without giving a reason. Ask us and we will also tell you what the directory currently holds about you, or correct it.
Who else sees it
Everything on a listing is public by design — that is the point of a directory. We do not sell data, and we do not pass it to advertisers. The site is built on Supabase and hosted on Netlify, and those providers process the data on our behalf in order to serve the site.
