FAQ
Short answers about how listings get here, how to change one, and how the directory is ordered.
Is it free to be listed?
Yes. Every operator and guide listing is free, and there is no charge to browse or to contact anyone in the directory. You do not need an account to use it.
How do I get listed?
Operators join the Tourpreneur community and fill in their business profile; guides join TripSchool and fill in theirs. The listing is built from that profile, so there is no second form to complete. Technology and service companies are added by us — email hello@tourpreneur.com if yours is missing. There is more detail on the Get listed page.
Something on my listing is wrong. How do I fix it?
Edit your own profile and the change flows through on its own, usually within a couple of minutes. That is the fastest route and it means you stay in control of what the directory says about you. If something is wrong that you cannot edit yourself, email hello@tourpreneur.com and we will correct it.
Where does the information on a listing come from?
Almost all of it comes from the business or guide directly, through their own profile. Where a description was missing we have sometimes written a short factual one from the company’s public website, so that a listing is not blank. Anything you write yourself replaces it.
How do I remove my listing?
There is a setting on your profile to hide your business from the public directory. Tick it and the listing comes down. If you would rather we removed it for you, email hello@tourpreneur.com and say so — you do not have to give a reason.
Why do some listings appear before others?
Listings are grouped, not scored. The first group on a page is made up of Tourpreneur PRO members, Preferred Partners and TripSchool-certified guides; everyone else follows, in alphabetical order. Being in the first group is not a recommendation from us and it is not a review score — nobody pays to rank above someone else on merit, because nothing here is ranked on merit.
Do you take a commission or a booking fee?
No. There is no booking engine here and no cut of anything. Every listing links straight to the business, and what happens after that is between you and them.
Can I contact an operator or guide directly?
Yes. Each profile links to the person or business, and some publish an email address as well. You do not need an account to use the links out; you may need one to send a message inside the Tourpreneur or TripSchool community itself, and joining is free.
I found a listing for a business that has closed.
Tell us. There is a “report a problem” link at the bottom of every profile that comes pre-filled with which listing you were looking at, which saves everyone a round of emails.
