Wahoo's Adventures has operated as the High Country's river outfitter since 1978, running whitewater rafting on the Watauga and Nolichucky rivers and family tubing and kayaking/canoeing on the New River. The company maintains outposts in Todd, North Carolina and in Elizabethton and Erwin, Tennessee, and also offers camping, treehouse cabin rentals, and group and corporate event planning.
