Hand Crafted Travel was founded in 2000 by Bryan Smith, who first traveled to Europe as a high school student in 1981 and later spent over a year in Germany as an exchange student; he now speaks fluent German plus conversational French, Italian, and Spanish. The company designs private, small-group, and independent trips across Europe, from Ireland to Poland and Scotland to Sicily, with particular depth in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, and Spain, alongside custom trips in California and the southwestern United States. Bryan personally leads tours more than three months each year while spending the rest of his time planning custom itineraries for clients.
