About
As a lifelong New Mexican, I have had the wonderful opportunity to grow up and live in nature, surrounded by beauty and isolation. My passion for International educational travel began in 1999 when I led the first of six K-12 teacher projects funded through the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Program. I halso ave led multiple high school student groups to Brazil, Mexico, and Cuba. After retiring from the world of formal education, I returned to my passion of leading groups with an educational focus. I went back to school and became an ITMI-certified Tour Director and Guide and have since participated in multiple trainings within the travel industry, including Trip School’s “How to Develop your Own Travel Business.” Since 2018, I have led groups for Road Scholar, formerly Elderhostel, to beautiful and captivating places around the Southwest United States, Rose Parade, and horseback riding in the Sierra Nevadas, still one of my favorite programs to lead! In 2021, I launched Soulful Traveling to provide an avenue to lead international experiences for clients in Ghana, Brazil, Mexico, and Cuba. The experiences are transformational for me, my clients, and most importantly, the local people with whom we interact and come to call friends. Travel gives me hope that the world will rise above the despair and negativity in which we often find ourselves. Travel reminds me that the world is inherently good, kind, loving, and forgiving. And, for this, I continue to travel and share incredible journeys and destinations with inquisitive and fun-loving clients who want to learn about and warmly embrace our world.

Fun Fact
I practice Spanish and Portuguese 30 minutes each day. I love getting my hands in the dirt in my garden, creating spaces of solitude around my home in the desert, and spending time with my wild nine grandchildren.
