As a high school teacher for over 20 years, my favorite part of the school year was leading student trips, especially to New York City. Now I am a pursuing my favorite part full time. I am a history buff and enjoy sharing stories about the history of the United States, especially about places along the eastern seaboard. I love to see how people react when they see a sight or hear a story for the first time. I also love the opportunity to learn new things about places I've been many times. My calmness and droll sense of humor (think Monty Python) are often great assets in life and in traveling.
Hobbies & Interests
I am an amateur photographer with a twist: I love to take film photos with antique cameras. I also love watching the English Premier League (soccer), especially my beloved Aston Villa! On a typical evening, you'll find me playing backgammon with my wife (usually losing).
