About
I am an endlessly curious person who loves to explore new ideas, new cultures and new ways of thinking. I relish the gift of travel as it opens your mind to the sheer diversity of the human experience. I also enjoy all types of animals and have been a dog and a cat lover for many years. I enjoy exploring my hometown of Washington DC, but I've also lived in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia and London. I've traveled extensively through Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. My favorite places to visit are Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, the Greek Islands, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Mexico and the American Southwest and West Coast. I am trying to get fluent in Spanish but I'm not quite there yet. I meditate everyday and love to cook and experiment with new recipes. I have 2 daughters and I live with my partner Stephen in the Capitol Hill East neighborhood of DC.
Hobbies & Interests
I am an avid cyclist and enjoy the wealth of bike trails in the DC Metro area. I also enjoy boating on the Chesapeake, Rehobeth Bay, Cape May Bay and the Potomac. I'm a history and architecture buff. I enjoy reading historical fiction, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Biography and Self-Help books. I also enjoy birding and hiking through forests and mountains to commune with nature. I also love the beach, especially in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. The earth is so beautiful and there is so much to enjoy!
Fun Fact
I am a student docent at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC where I teach school-age children (K-12) to engage with and be curious about art.
