About
Somewhere over the rainbow... but currently in San Francisco. Hey there! My name is James Cannon, I'm 23 years old and based in San Francisco, California, United States. I have worked as a Tour Director/Tour Guide since 2023. I specialize in multi-day student tours, and also local tours, with my cities of concentration on the East Coast, namely DC, NYC, Boston, and around Florida. I also have destination knowledge of various major cities across Europe and the US, will soon have knowledge of Northern California and the Bay Area (relocating there for the winter!), and have previous international work experience abroad in guest facing roles. I also have previous experience in event and festival management/coordination, bartending and mixology, and other facets of the hospitality industry. My goals are to expand into the young adult market and lead tours domestically and abroad, and to continue to expand into specialized itineraries revolving around different themes that are experiential in nature, such as art-centric itineraries about street art or historical periods, or LGBT-centric itineraries about queer culture and expression. Hobbies & Interests
Interests include rock climbing (5.11 is my record grade!), hiking, art critique and analysis (studied art history!), playing Wordle, philosophical discussion and journaling, and scented candles.
Fun Fact
I work as an emergency medical aide in electronic music festivals as a second job, longer than I've been a Tour Director!
